These bags are sure to turn heads at your next pet store run or reptile expo! We dye cotton tote bags and stamp them with hand carved stamps, a process known as block printing. Due to the beautiful variation in every press of the stamp, each bag is wildly one-of-a-kind. Some bags may even have a faded or vintage look.

These roomy totes will easily fit two jumbo rolls of paper towels OR a sweatshirt, water bottle, and pair of shoes OR a 15" laptop. They are perfect for small trips to the store or carrying your daily necessities.

Tote Bag FAQ

Are the tote bags washable?

Yes! You can wash your tote bags. While they can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing with cold water and a mild detergent to protect the dye and ink. Spot clean as needed. Avoid any stain removing products. Lay flat or hang to dry. Machine dry is also OK.

Can they be ironed?

Absolutely! It won't harm the dye or ink. You can use steam and the cotton setting to remove wrinkles. We recommend flipping the bag inside out or putting another cotton cloth between the bag and the iron to prevent scorching or ink transfer.

Will the dye bleed?

We try our best to make sure all of the excess dye is removed from your bag, but bleeding is always a possibility. Blues and reds are more prone to bleeding. Do not wash your bags with any other clothing for the first wash. Also be mindful of wearing a white shirt and carrying the bag on your shoulder if it is very hot and you are sweating (this is out of an abundance of caution).

Will the design fade?

All dyes and inks will fade a bit with time. The first wash will likely result in a noticeable fade (normal). To keep your bag looking its best, hand wash in cold water, air dry, and avoid letting it sit in sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Heat and friction (like in the washer/dryer) will accelerate fading.

Why do some of the bags look wrinkly?

The bags are 100% cotton and prone to wrinkles. We dye some of our bags using a method that involves scrunching up the bags and applying heat. This creates very stubborn wrinkles. We try our best to iron them out prior to shipping, but some wrinkles may need a few washes and some time to relax.
